App Security Cloud Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an Application Security Engineer who will be responsible for understanding and preventing threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data that arise through development of internal and external applications with a cloud focus. You would serve as a cloud security SME on the Information Security team providing architecture and technology security guidance to infrastructure and applications teams. We are looking for someone to help grow, implement, and support a software security program for a hybrid Azure environment. The Application Security Engineer is responsible for partnering with the various teams in the IT organization developing internal and customer facing applications to ensure secure development practices and application operational procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an environment with flexible work schedules, 24/7 availability, and on-call rotation. A key requirement for success will be to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences about information security risk while helping to prioritize and address critical business needs, related events, and advocate for sound secure software development practices across hybrid cloud solutions. This will involve PCI Web App Security Testing support while understanding Azure and M365 to include the CI/CD, automation, containerization, and integrations. You will help to implement and support technology solutions related to securing application development and usage including SAST, DAST, API security, WAF, CNAPP, CPSM, CWPP, protection from automated attacks and fraud, content delivery, PKI, etc. This position is fully remote with compensation based on experience ranging from $70-$75/hr.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Application Security

• Experience integrating app security tools into secure SDLC pipelines

• Hands on technology experience with: Python, JavaScript .NET C#, and Dynatrace

• Expertise with Azure

• Experience with Cloud security providers like Akamai

• Experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)

• Expert understanding of the development and implementation of secure application solutions across hybrid cloud solutions.

• Knowledge of the latest threats to the application environment (OWASP top 10 etc)

• Ability to triage and prioritize application vulnerabilities and direct remediation - Retail background

• Consulting background

• Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)
