Job Description

The Lead Plater performs a wide range of electroplating processes to achieve high-quality finishes on various parts and metals, following standardized methods and procedures. This role involves maintaining plating solutions according to specified formulas and working from drawings, specifications, and work orders to obtain desired finishes. The Lead Plater checks the condition of solutions and parts to ensure optimum plating results and rejects any unacceptable parts. Additionally, this role requires significant safety knowledge regarding the hazards and protocols necessary for safely conducting plating processes and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform electroplating processes to achieve desired finishes on parts and metals.
• Maintain plating solutions according to specified formulas.
• Work from drawings, specifications, and work orders to obtain desired finishes.
• Check the condition of solutions and parts for optimum plating results.
• Reject unacceptable parts.
• Acquire and apply safety knowledge to handle chemicals and perform tasks safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous plating experience required.
• Basic computer literacy with Excel, Outlook, and Word, and ability to work with manufacturing software.
• Ability to lift and move 30-40 lbs boxes regularly.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a team environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with operating manufacturing machinery.
• Capability to develop effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to learn and quickly judge acceptable quality parameters.
• Experience in the jewelry industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $68640.00/yr.
