Weekday Dishwasher

Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls’ boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks a part-time Dishwasher, effective immediately.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 11:00 am. - 3:00 pm. (20 hours a week)

Located in the Pioneer Valley, a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, and Amherst College), Stoneleigh-Burnham School is the only girls’ school in New England to offer the IB Diploma Programme and attracts students from the local area and around the world. Our mission centers around helping our students discover and use their authentic voices. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Washes and sanitizes pots, dishes, utensils, etc., either by mechanical washing or hand washing.
• Maintains order and cleanliness in the dish room/kitchen, including sweeping, and taking out trash, compost and recycling.
• Provides additional assistance in the kitchen or dining room if needed or time allows.
• Required to work additional hours about 5 times a year for special events.

Qualities and Qualifications:

• Have good people skills, and be team oriented. 
• Be willing to work different positions or shifts when requested, to help fill in when others are out.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
