The RRT will provide respiratory care treatments, manage ventilators, and assess patient conditions in various healthcare settings. Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders .
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and other respiratory treatments .
- Operate and maintain ventilators and life-support equipment .
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management .
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams .
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols .
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program .
- Certification:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care.
- Skills:
- Expertise in mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management .
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities .
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills .
- Travel Readiness: Willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
