Diesel Technician / Field Mechanic

Field & Shop Technician | Serving New England

LEI is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for a mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy equipment both in the field and in the shop. No two days are the same.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of equipment maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet readiness while helping keep our operation running at its highest level year-round.

• Snow Equipment
• Attachments & Specialty Equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and fleet inspections
• Respond to field service calls and equipment breakdowns
• Maintain equipment reliability and uptime
• Assist with fleet preparation for winter operations
• Work independently while coordinating with operations and management
• Help build and improve a best-in-class maintenance program

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
• Massachusetts Hoisting License (Required)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with construction and heavy equipment
• Valid Driver's License
• CDL License is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
