Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN First Assist (RNFA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role provides advanced perioperative nursing support and first-assist services within a collaborative surgical environment.
The RNFA will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the operative process.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday.
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- 40 hours guaranteed weekly.
- No weekends.
- Holiday coverage as needed.
- Rotating on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as First Assist during surgical procedures.
- Provide advanced perioperative nursing care.
- Support surgeons during operative cases.
- Float to additional operating room areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Meditech Expanse.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams.
- Participate in on-call rotation requirements.
Requirements:
Required:
- Active Massachusetts RN License.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active CNOR Certification.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN First Assist experience.
Preferred:
- Meditech Expanse experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
- Reliable personal transportation required.
- Ability to participate in on-call coverage.
