Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace facilities mechanical components and systems, including electrical equipment, HVAC, and plumbing. Your primary focus will be on chillers and air handlers, in addition to rooftop units. You will work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical components and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Focus primarily on chillers, air handlers, and rooftop units.
• Utilize knowledge of CMMS work order system.

Essential Skills

• HVAC experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Preventive maintenance expertise.
• Experience with chillers and air handlers.
• Knowledge of CMMS, blueprints, and RTUs.
• MA Refrigeration license is required for this role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in commercial facilities, ideally healthcare.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of repair, service, pneumatics, boiler, electrical, and plumbing.
• Understanding of boiler operations.
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).

Work Environment

Work in a 280,000 square foot hospital, alongside a team of four on shift. Live within an hour of the hospital to ensure timeliness for on-call duties

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melrose, MA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
