Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Estimator / Project Manager to drive the success of their construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will lead comprehensive cost estimation efforts, develop accurate project budgets, and oversee project execution to ensure timely delivery within budget. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating between clients, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results that meet or exceed expectations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence project outcomes through strategic planning, precise estimating, and effective project management.
Responsibilities Lead the development of detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as OST, BuzzBid and Procore, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements, facilitating clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage bid processes by reviewing plans, specifications, and contracts; negotiating terms with general vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Oversee all phases of project management, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk assessment, and quality assurance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor construction site activities to verify adherence to safety standards, contract specifications, and project timelines while addressing any issues promptly.
Control costs by tracking expenditures, managing change orders, and implementing effective cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, estimates, and financial performance for internal review and client updates.
Skills
Proficiency in construction estimating software such as OST, BuzzBid, Bluebeam and Procore for accurate bid preparation and project documentation.Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Extensive knowledge of construction processes, site management, and contract administration.
Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on cost control and pricing strategies.
Hands-on construction site experience combined with construction management expertise to effectively oversee project execution.
Excellent project management skills including scheduling, resource coordination, and risk mitigation.
Familiarity with contracts law and the ability to interpret contractual obligations accurately.
