Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer - GE
An Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer job in Lynn, MA is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer Job Duties:
- Participate in the entire design cycle of mechanical subsystems, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, development testing and qualification
- Perform engineering calculations to validate component and system design (free body diagrams, structural analysis, vibration analysis, flow analysis, and heat transfer analysis)
- Review manufacturing drawings to ensure form, fit and function
- Perform tolerance stacks analysis in accordance with ASME Y14.5 2009
- Work within a team environment to achieve the desired project goals and ensure the project tasks are completed on time, on budget, and with technical excellence
- Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)
- Experience designing Aerospace or equivalent types of mechanical systems within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles
- Experience designing gas turbine engine components (fan, compressor, combustor, turbine, rotors, stators, etc.)
- Experience with repairs or Material Review Board (MRB)
- Experience designing rigs or test stands
- Experience designing airfoils and/or rotating parts
- Experience designing bearing, seals, and drives
- Experience designing sumps and lube systems
- Experience with ASME Y14.5 2009
- Working knowledge of design cycle, conception to production, for components or systems
- Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar tools
- Proficient in 3D CAD, utilizing Siemens NX
