Military DoD SkillBridge Program - NPI Materials Specialist
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.). *Note: This role is open to hybrid/remote with 25% travel to Boston, MA Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage supply chain configuration management as well as master planning, material processes and systems. Ensure operational alignment with test plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
- Manage material processes and systems to provide accurate signals and maintain data cleanliness requirements (removal of defects/inaccuracies). Understanding inventory transactions and their impact on the MRD signal to optimize inventory and process improvements.
- Engage with Integrated Manufacturing and Product Operations to compliantly drive critical part delivery and allocation calls. Communicates program needs clearly and concisely to drive results at internal and external source locations.
- Working with parts pool (development warehouse) for incoming hardware to ensure that part tracking and allocation is accurate in systems as well as ensure material flow and pick/issue transactions align to build plan.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Active Military personnel on their last 180 days before separating from Military Service.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
