Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures essential for patient diagnosis and treatment. The position involves operating radiographic equipment, positioning patients, and producing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and healthcare providers.
Schedule:
- Day shift hours: 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- Mondays and Wednesdays
Location:This role is based in Quincy, MA, offering the chance to work at a renowned eye and ear specialty center with advanced imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for imaging.
- Explain procedures clearly, addressing patient questions and concerns to ease anxiety.
- Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot specialized radiographic equipment.
- Ensure images meet technical quality and diagnostic standards.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols utilizing protective devices.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and radiation dosage for safety compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology (required; experience cannot substitute degree)
- Valid state Radiologic Technologist license (required)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
- 1-2 years of radiology technology experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic techniques, safety standards, and patient positioning
- Proficient with imaging equipment and associated software
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking (34-66%)
- Occasional sitting (3-33%)
- Ability to lift 35 lbs or more frequently
