Travel GI Technical Assistant (Endoscopy / Surgical Services)

Location: Hyannis, MA

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 40 hours/week | Day Shift (8-hour rotating shifts)

Shift Times: Rotating start times (7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM)

Additional Requirements: Rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Compensation

  • Weekly Gross Pay: $2,241 (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented GI Technical Assistant to support Endoscopy and Surgical Services in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves assisting physicians and clinical staff in delivering safe, high-quality care to perioperative and endoscopy patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during endoscopic and surgical procedures

  • Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment

  • Monitor vital signs and assist with patient preparation and positioning

  • Provide support in recovery areas as needed

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment

  • Follow infection control and safety protocols

  • Coordinate with Sterile Processing for equipment readiness

  • Maintain inventory and report equipment/supply issues

  • Transport patients and assist with room turnover

  • Perform pre-procedure tasks (e.g., shave prep) per protocol

  • Participate in on-call rotation and scheduling needs

  • Assist with staff orientation and attend required trainings

  • Maintain accurate documentation for equipment and environment monitoring

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as CNA, Nursing Assistant II, or Endoscopy Tech, OR

    • Minimum 1 year of recent perioperative or direct patient care experience

  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required

  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control preferred

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
