Duties and Responsibilities :

• Complies with Customer Service Standards.

• Measures vital signs (i.e., temperature, pulse rate, blood pressure, oximetry and self reported pain level), and documents information in patient clinical record.

• Provides nourishment to patients postoperatively.

• Prepares treatment area for patients (cleans, straightens, stocks).

• Inventories facility supplies as delegated.

• Assists with the ordering process of facility supplies as delegated.

• Provides personal care to the patients as directed/delegated by the RN.

• Complies with infection control and safety policies.

• Prepares and maintains accurate documentation of test results and ensures they are reviewed and evaluated by the RN/Anesthesia provider.

• Performs clerical duties as required.

• Transports patients on stretcher chairs.

• Performs decontamination of surgical instruments.

• Performs sterilization of surgical instrumentation.

• Transport of patients to and from the OR via stretcher

• Instrument decontamination and sterilization

• Checking patients in for laser procedures

• Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual

• You may be requested to go to another location occasionally

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program

• Nursing Assistant License

Typical Physical Demands:

• Sitting, Standing, Bending, Reaching, Stooping, Walking and Lifting

• Ability to see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks

• Driving independently to other facilities

• Ability to use keyboard

• Ability to use electronic medical record and scheduling software
