Responsibilities
- Deliver PTA services under direct supervision of a PT to adult inpatient rehabilitation patients in an LTAC setting.
- Implement and progress treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional activities as prescribed; monitor patient responses.
- Assist with gait training, transfers, ROM, strengthening, endurance programs, and activity tolerance to support functional goals.
- Document observations, progress notes, and daily treatment summaries; communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (nursing, OT, speech therapy, case management) to coordinate care, ensure safety, and support discharge planning.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, equipment care, and compliance with privacy regulations and facility policies.

Requirements
- Active PTA license through the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health
- CPR/AED certification
- Minimum 1 year PTA experience
- Ability to work in a hospital-based LTAC inpatient rehabilitation environment
- Preferred: PTA outpatient hospital experience
