Emergency Veterinarian- Overnight

Job Description Job Description Position is full time at Angell Boston consisting of three overnight shifts a week Angell Animal Medical Center has served the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center for over a century. We are looking for an ER doctor to join our ECC service for overnight support. The ECC service is comprised of 5 criticalists, 6 residents, and 7 ER doctors. Angell is a rich educational environment offering weekly on-site continuing education seminars and regular multi-disciplinary specialty rounds. OUR ECC SERVICE: Our current emergency and critical care service is comprised of five criticalists, 6 ER doctors, and 7 ECC residents. Our technicians and Assistants are highly-skilled, well paid, and properly experienced allowing you to practice the type of medicine that you are trained for. In addition our service prides itself on a close collaborative relationship with other departments (internal medicine, oncology, neurology, surgery, ophthalmology, and cardiology, etc.) OUR LOCATION: Enjoy the diverse culture, arts & entertainment, and sports events in Boston, or spend weekends ocean-side or hiking on scenic mountain trails a short drive of the city. POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The qualified individual will be responsible for occasionally receiving patients through our ER when busy, but the main responsibility will involve oversight, mentorship and training of interns and other house officers on the overnight. REQUIREMENTS : Candidates must demonstrate aptitude for multi-tasking and working successfully in a team environment. The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to the veterinary and technical staff as well as clients and referring veterinarians. Qualified applicants must have a DVM and have completed a rotating, one-year internship is preferred, and multiple years of experience as an ER doctor. Apply today at
