Position ID: 200331 General Statement Assist the Registrar with record keeping, registration, Commencement related activities, and with the operation of the automated record system, as well as assist with the supervision of the Registrar's Office staff to ensure the Registrar's Office runs smoothly and effectively as an integral part of the Enrollment and Student Services Department and to serve the College Community in accordance with the "Mission" of the college. Supervision Received Reports to the Director of Records and Registration and Registrar. Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the Registrar's Office runs smoothly and effectively as an integral part of the
- Enrollment and Student Services Department and serves the College Community in
- accordance with the "Mission" of the college.
- Evaluates transfer credits and notifies students of transferable college credits. Support clerk enters transfer credits.
- Provides flexible, responsive and high quality customer service to the entire College community and continuously assess processes and procedures to revise accordingly.
- Serves as an academic advisor and admission advisor to assist with these services on an as needed basis.
- Participates in the student commencement review and certification process and is leading participant in graduation ceremony.
- Coordinates with all departments in enrollment and student services to ensure a seamless enrollment process for all students.
- Assists with the orientation of new and existing staff to various systems of the Registrar's Office.
- On an as needed basis will join the Academic Advising Center to meet with students as an Academic Advisor.
- Develops and notifies faculty and students of the Revised Class Schedule/Final Exam Schedule.
- Maintains classroom schedules and computerizes all instructional space scheduling.
- Implements the subpoena process in compliance with the College's approved process.
- Develops and implements a training module so that all new staff are trained on the College's policy on FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
- Meets with students individually to assist with academic advising relative to graduation requirements.
- Point person for the implementation of the Massachusetts residency requirement for in-state tuition purposes by assisting students with regulation and required documentation.
- Embraces and supports the principle that "diversity is everybody's business" through the daily performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Actively supports the teaching and learning process; practicing honesty and integrity in and out of the classroom; strives to create and support a student-centered environment while fostering academic innovation and excellence.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated prior work experience in a Registrar's Office.
- Prior experience working with College students.
- Prior work experience with the Jenzabar CX Records System.
- Prior experience with COGNOS Report Utility.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Working knowledge of, and experience in, using personal computers.
- Working Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of the student centered community college environment and mission.
