Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program required. For licensure prior to 2016, a bachelor’s or master’s degree is acceptable; licensure from 2016 onward requires completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required prior to start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience as a physical therapist in hospital, inpatient rehab, or ambulatory/outpatient settings required.
- Experience in orthopedic physical therapy required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred.
- Experience supervising PTAs preferred.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital outpatient clinic.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 08:00–16:30.
- Assignment will begin in one outpatient location and transition to a second outpatient location during the assignment.
- Setting includes outpatient physical therapy with responsibilities for evaluations, treatment planning, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, documentation, and supervising PTAs per policy and state regulations.

Additional Information
Primary duties include patient assessment, establishment and documentation of plans of care and goals, delivery of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, billing documentation completion by end of day, participation in quality improvement activities, and collaboration with patients and families. Candidates will be expected to communicate effectively, perform case management tasks, and meet applicable accreditation and certification requirements.
