Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts 02601

Unit: Emergency Department

Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)

Shift: 12-hour Nights, 3 shifts per week

Pay Rate: $2,676 (Weekly Gross)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care and maintain accurate documentation.

• Document patient assessments including physical, psychological, and social dimensions, as well as discharge planning.

• Summarize assessment data and initiate plans of care, communicating pertinent information to allied care providers.

• Demonstrate proficiency in the charge nurse role and nursing informatics systems.

• Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education.

• Participate in staff meetings, mandatory programs, and professional development activities.

• Assist in monitoring quality and appropriateness of patient care.

• Adhere to all safety, blood/body fluid, and infection control policies.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER RN experience.

• At least 1 year of travel ER RN experience.

• Proficiency in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring.

• Successful passage of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams.

• Completion of de-escalation certification course (preferred).

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Certifications (Required):

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS

• TNCC

Preferred Certifications:

• ENPC

• PALS
