Role Overview
The Imaging Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of X-ray and Cath lab imaging equipment. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot X-ray and Cath lab imaging systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and annual certifications for imaging equipment.
- Respond to service calls and perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Provide training and support to clinical staff on the proper use of imaging equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all service activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to imaging services.
- Interact with vendors and suppliers for parts procurement and equipment upgrades.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to continuously enhance technical skills.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in radiology equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the functionality and operation of X-ray and Cath lab systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear communication with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, specifically with X-ray and Cath lab technologies.
- Proven track record of working directly with clinical staff to resolve equipment issues.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
