Job Description: Imaging Service Engineer - X-ray/Cath Lab

Role Overview

The Imaging Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of X-ray and Cath lab imaging equipment. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot X-ray and Cath lab imaging systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and annual certifications for imaging equipment.
  • Respond to service calls and perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff on the proper use of imaging equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to imaging services.
  • Interact with vendors and suppliers for parts procurement and equipment upgrades.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to continuously enhance technical skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in radiology equipment maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the functionality and operation of X-ray and Cath lab systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear communication with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, specifically with X-ray and Cath lab technologies.
  • Proven track record of working directly with clinical staff to resolve equipment issues.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
