Responsibilities: The Assistant Mortgage Loan Consultant (AMLC) assists the Mortgage Loan Consultant(s) (MLC) to produce mortgage loans efficiently and timely, with minimal errors, all while maintaining exceptional customer service. The AMLC performs a variety of administrative duties in support of, and in concert with the individual MLC quest in establishing and maintaining strong professional ties to area business generators, builders, centers of influence, as well as individual residential real estate customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Supports the Mortgage Loan Consultant in soliciting quality loan applicants through various methods and media. 2. Assists MLCs to gather information related to residential real estate applications through interaction with parties involved in the transaction, while adhering to customer privacy guidelines. 3. Schedules appointments on behalf of the MLC, or with the AMLC which fit the needs of the bank and customer, whether on company premises or at a mutually convenient location. 4. In support of the originating MLC, may inform customers of the institution's loan programs, underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations. 5. Prepares and maintains applications and manages application documents. 6. Prepares Loan Estimates in compliance with regulatory guidelines and bank policy. 7. Answers incoming inquiries, written or otherwise, and satisfies those inquiries, or consults with the Mortgage Loan Consultant to satisfy the inquiry if applicable. 8. Maintains and fosters relationships with realtors, attorneys, appraisers, applicants, and Mortgage Processing personnel. 9. May attend loan closings on behalf of the MLC. 10. Processes final documentation and loan tickets to initiate the booking process. 11. Stays abreast of, and participates in, community outreach programs within the MLC's designated territory to ensure the bank remains a partner to groups of low to moderate income (LMI) and those in a protected class. 12. Ensures exceptional customer service, both internal and external by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics and complying with all Federal and State compliance policies. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. 14. Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all job-specific requirements in a timely fashion Qualifications: Education/Training: An Associates degree or equivalent preferred. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (“NMLS”) registration under the terms of The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (The SAFE Act). Skills: Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; comfortability with various software programs and overall PC functions, proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; ability to multitask and manage multiple duties effectively; and, the ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of Bank operating policies and products. Experience: Experience in a high volume, multi-tasked professional administrative, sales, or customer service position. Experience in submitting loan file requests electronically (DU-Desktop Underwriter) and knowledge of FNMA guidelines a plus. Min: USD $22.60/Hr. Max: USD $33.93/Hr. Other Job Information: Hours: Fill In hours/week Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
