Employment Opportunity: Piano Faculty (Part-Time)

Attacca School of Music is seeking a part time (with possibility to grow to full time) Piano Faculty member/s to take over a portion or full amount of an existing strong studio of students, starting from May 4th 2026. We are looking for a dedicated teacher who views teaching as a professional priority and is interested in building long-term relationships with students and families.

Attacca is a community-focused music school dedicated to thoughtful, high-quality music education. We work with students of all ages and levels (including adult programming), offering private lessons, group classes, chamber music, and performance opportunities.

Position Details & Schedule (up to 4 days to be taken over by one or several candidates)

Teaching in-person weekly piano lessons to students ages 5/6 through adult (including some more advanced and also some students with specific learning considerations). Time windows of teaching are subject to slight changes that may occur within a semester.

Priority will be given to candidates who are able to fulfill all four days.

• Mondays between 3:30-8:45pm (with 30 minute dinner break)
• Tuesdays 3:00-8:00pm (with 30 minute dinner break)
• Thursdays 3:30-8:30pm (with 30 minute dinner break)
• Fridays 2:30-8:15pm (with 30 minute dinner break)

Responsibilities

• Take over and maintain continuity of a long standing pre-existing studio
• Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons
• Support and encourage student participation school events like performance hours, recitals, group programs, and school concert series
• Communicate clearly with families and
• Keep in contact with administration and be responsive to communicating
• Contribute to a collaborative faculty environment

Commitment

• Consistent weekly teaching during the academic year (34 weeks)
• Flexible summer schedule (minimum requirement 3 weeks)
• Participation in recitals, performance hours, and faculty activities

Qualifications

• At least Masters Degree
• At least 2-3 years of formal one-on-one private lesson teaching experience required (from Ages 5 and up)
• Organized, reliable, communicative, and proactive to be involved in our community
• Interest in long-term studio development

Compensation

$53–$60/hour (W-2), based on experience, with opportunities for growth.
Includes Massachusetts earned sick time and applicable leave programs.

Interview Process :

Two rounds - first online, second in person with required teaching demonstration

If accepted for the role, a week of shadowing lessons prior to starting will also be required
