Senior Cloud Database Engineer - SCDE
Location: Chelsea, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
Looking for a hands-on cloud engineer with expertise in AWS and enterprise-level database migrations. This role will focus on migrating high-volume databases and optimizing the RDS infrastructure post-migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute migrations from legacy systems to AWS RDS.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting on cloud-hosted databases.
- Support schema and data conversions to PostgreSQL.
- Automate migration-related tasks using scripting.
- Monitor and enhance database performance and uptime.
Qualifications:
- Background in database engineering with AWS RDS expertise.
- Skilled in PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Experience in large-scale migrations using AWS services.
- Database optimization experience required.
