Facilities Maintenance Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute planned and reactive maintenance at ALSC.
- Coordinate small and medium-sized projects, including scheduling vendor visits.
- Manage vendors for routine maintenance and emergency repairs in office and laboratory spaces.
- Liaise with Environmental Health & Safety to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and Client global policies.
- Work collaboratively with building occupants to support facility-related needs.
- Maintain building systems including BAS, Lighting Control, and Access Control systems.
- Perform building rounds to identify leaks, damage, and non-functioning fixtures.
- Record, report, and follow up on deficiencies for remediation.
- Conduct systems rounds using BAS and visual inspections to identify alarms and out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, pH neutralization, RODI, compressed air, vacuum systems, lighting, generators, and security card readers.
- Perform carpentry tasks including wall repair, painting, and installation of boards and shelving.
- Perform basic locksmithing tasks such as repair or replacement of door hardware.
- Support room configurations for meetings and events.
- Support receiving and distribution of packages, mail, and deliveries.
- Perform other facility, operations, and maintenance duties as assigned.

- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or trade school graduate
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience
- Experience managing day-to-day maintenance operations
- Preferred: 2+ years in pharma or academic research/lab environments Trade licenses in HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing Understanding of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for research facilities
