AP Specialist
Kforce has a client in Chelsea, MA that is seeking a detail-oriented AP Specialist for a contract opportunity supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role focuses on full-cycle accounts payable with exposure to payroll, reconciliations, and general accounting support. Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle Accounts Payable (invoices, coding, approvals, payments)
- Maintain vendor records and W-9s; assist with 1099s
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and approvals
- Process and reconcile ACH/EFT, credit card, and bank transactions
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll support, journal entries, and audit prep
- Support month-end and general accounting tasks as needed
- 3+ years of AP or accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Reliable and comfortable working onsite
- Nonprofit, municipal, or fund accounting experience is nice to have
