THE ROLE: WHY IT MATTERS

As our Infection Preventionist, you are the frontline architect of safety. You won’t just monitor infections; you will lead the development, implementation, and management of our entire Infection Prevention and Antibiotic Stewardship Programs (ASP). Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, you will be the subject matter expert who keeps our residents and staff safe, educated, and compliant with state and federal regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program Leadership: Develop and evaluate pandemic preparedness, outbreak management, and hand hygiene protocols.
• Surveillance & Data: Use tools like the CDC’s NHSN and McGeer criteria to track trends and turn data into actionable improvements.
• Education: Design and deliver high-impact training for new hires and current staff, ensuring everyone is a champion for infection control.
• Antibiotic Stewardship: Collaborate with leadership to oversee the facility’s ASP, ensuring residents receive the right care at the right time.
• Regulatory Expert: Keep us "survey-ready" by staying ahead of CMS, OSHA, and public health guidelines.
• Quality Improvement: Serve as a vital member of the QAPI committee, reporting on program success and innovative PI strategies.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Licensed: You hold a current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Qualified: You have the education, experience, or certification to lead a clinical program.
• Strategic: You have a knack for data analysis and report writing.
