Position Summary:

• Work Schedule: Saturday - Wednesday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm

• 100% on-site

The Chelsea facility is Catalent's global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacture and packaging. The site features inhaled powder spray drying, as well as multiple commercial-scale lines for capsule filling and blister packaging. On-site spray dryers include best-in-class GEA Niro SD1, SD4 and SD7, the latter being the largest Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) unit of its kind for DPI in North America.

The Equipment Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and technical support for service and repair of production and ancillary equipment at the Chelsea MA facility. Support spray drying and downstream operations by providing quality, compliant and timely equipment service to prevent excessive down-time and ensure optimum equipment operation. The Maintenance Technician also provides technical assistance to operators.

The Role:

• Provide support for validation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of all GMP equipment and systems

• Diagnose and repair of all electronic, pneumatic and control system problems on GMP equipment; Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing/packaging equipment

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on GMP and non-GMP equipment

• Execute equipment-related work orders in support of Operations; Manage and order equipment spare parts inventory

• Troubleshoot problems during equipment set-up/change-over

• Assist in design and implementation of engineering controls; Assist process engineers as needed

• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

• High School Diploma or GED is required

• Must have minimum 3 years of relevant cGMP experience

• Proficiency using MS office is required

• Physical requirements: Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching regularly, and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed

Pay:

• The anticipated salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $77,250 to $92,115 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
