Our team, part of the Salesforce on Alibaba Engineering organization, develops critical foundational services that power Salesforce's infrastructure and preserve customer trust in Salesforce's products. You will be building highly scalable and resilient Microservices that enable Salesforce's ecosystem of products to be deployed onto multiple Cloud environments. At the forefront of this effort is our expansion on the Alibaba Cloud platform which allows multi-national customers of Salesforce to effectively serve their customers in the greater China region.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our team and build intelligent solutions from the ground up. You will combine your skills and ingenuity to provide multi-cloud experience to our customers. We use a variety of programming languages as well as cutting edge technologies towards the design, development and delivery of these services.

Your Impact:

• Design and develop foundational services running on Cloud platforms such as Alibaba, AWS, or GCP
• Deliver cloud infrastructure automation using tools such as Spinnaker, Terraform, and Helm charts
• Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovations that improve system availability, resilience, and performance
• Collaborate with peers within an Agile and highly dynamic team environment
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation to keep services operational and highly available

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency with at least one high level programming language such as Golang, Java, or Python
• Experience with at least 1 public cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Alibaba
• Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, AWS DynamoDB
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
• 2+ years of software development experience
• Prior experience with Docker and container management frameworks such as Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) a strong plus
• Prior experience with Cloud infrastructure automation tools such as Spinnaker, Terraform, Helm charts a strong plus
• Development and operational experience with large scale, highly available distributed systems a strong plus
• Ability to quickly learn and deliver high quality code in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
• Strong communication skills

For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $172,800.
