Located inGreater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college,offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses inWellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.


Position Summary:

The candidateis expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration andprofessional development. Adjunctfaculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner-centeredenvironment conductive to engaging students in the learning process. Thefaculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively withstudents, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a24 hour period. The faculty is responsible for managing this course throughtimely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback withassignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.

MassBay Community College seeks a qualified part-time ComputedTomography Instructor for the current and future semesters. The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. This instructor provides instructionand support for students accepted into the Computed Tomography program. Thisinvolves developing and updating the curriculum for the Computed Tomographyprogram and ensuring the courses are taught consistently with ARRT standards. Theinstructor must be credentialed in Computed Tomography, have recent computedtomography experience, teaching experience, communicate effectively, be able toassess students objectively, and work as part of a team.

  • Work: Spring 2026 (January-May) and Summer 2026(May – August)

BeginningSpring/ Jan-May 2026 Courses:

  • TO 201 Computed Tomography 1 Introduction – 2 credits. Begin in Spring2026;
  • TO 214 Computed Tomography Cross-Sectional Anatomy – 2 credits. Begins in Spring2026.

BeginningSummer/ May-Aug 2026 Courses:

  • TO 202 Computed Tomography II Advanced – 2 credits) begins in Summer 2026;
  • TO 215 Computed Tomography Pathology & Procedures – 2 credits) begins in Summer2026.

KeyResponsibilities and Duties:

  • Work in collaboration with faculty and others to prepare syllabi and develop teaching materials in alignment with course description and agreed-upon learning outcomes;

  • Collaborate with program officials on students’ academic progress and needs;

  • Meet students regularly at the posted class times and teach assigned courses using effective instructional strategies that promote student learning and preparation;

  • Participate in the assessment of course and program learning outcomes;

  • Utilize appropriate learning management systems for the College;

  • Follow College protocols and procedures;

  • Submit syllabi, midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by the required due dates;

  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration, assess students objectively, and work as part of a team;

  • Stay current with developments in the profession;

  • Use the College’s technology effectively to communicate with students, colleagues, and administration;

  • Be timely in communication;

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Dean/Dean’s designee and consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement;

  • Other duties as assigned.

This list isnot to be considered all-inclusive. A supervisor may assign other duties asrequired to meet the needs and foster the mission of the College.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology-Radiography or higher or equivalent, ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology, and Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography;

  • A minimum of four (4) years of recent work experience in a Computed Tomography role or a relevant combination of work experience;

  • Some teaching experience/working at a teaching hospital also applies here;

  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;

  • Experience working in a community college or similar environment;

  • Demonstrates commitment to working with students in need;

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;

  • Online teaching experience is preferred;

  • Bilingual language skills;

  • Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $1397-$1585 per DCE Credit.

Classification: Adjunct Faculty, Division of Continuing Education (DCE)
