Server/Waiter

Our restaurant is currently seeking to hire a Server to join our team. As a server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable dining experience. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and escorting customers to their tables
• Presenting the menu and providing detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)
• Taking accurate food and drink orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips, or by memorization
• Serving food and drink orders in a timely manner
• Checking dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and reporting any problems
• Arranging table settings and maintaining a tidy dining area
• Delivering checks and collecting bill payments
• Carrying dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Meeting with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu, and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
• Following all relevant health department regulations
• Providing excellent customer service to guests
• Being attentive and patient with customers
• Effectively communicating with the Kitchen Staff to ensure orders are accurate and delivered promptly
• Being polite with our customers and ensuring they enjoy their meals
• Being a team player

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years of age
