Grade 5 Teacher (Parental Leave Coverage)

The Meadowbrook School of Weston, a pre-kindergarten through 8 th grade school located in Weston, MA, seven miles west of Boston, is seeking a fifth grade educator to cover a parental leave from September through November of the 2026-2027 school year.

We seek an educator with a demonstrated background and/or interest in cultural competency, curriculum development, and technology integration. We prefer that teachers have experience and understanding of Reading and Writing Workshop, Singapore Math, and the teaching of social studies. Candidates should also have an understanding of the social-emotional development of fifth graders. This is a co-teaching position with two other teachers on the team. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills, flexibility, and collegiality in promoting a healthy and stimulating relationship.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree (Master's degree preferred)
• At least two years teaching experience (preferred)
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team/co-teaching environment
• Knowledge of and/or teaching experience with Singapore Math (preferred)
• Experience with managing performance-based groups for reading and math (preferred)

Annualized salary for faculty is determined according to a step scale commensurate with years of teaching experience (base annualized salary range is $64,960 - $100,000+) and will be prorated for the length of the leave cover. This position is not currently benefits eligible. Employees must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, either currently or in the future.
