Collections Specialist

Randstad is hiring for a collections specialist for a B2B Collections agency located in Woburn, MA. We ideally would hire a candidate with collections experience, but maybe open to candidates with a customer service background who have excellent communication skills (particularly over the phone). Anyone with great interpersonal skills & enjoys working on the phone is encouraged to apply!

salary: $22 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities

• Outbound Collections: Make 50–70 calls per day to contact customers with overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans or full settlements.
• Skip Tracing: Use credit bureau data, internet searches, and other tools to locate customers who have moved or changed contact information.
• Account Management: Maintain detailed records of all contact attempts and payments collected; resolve billing complaints and issues.
• Reporting: Submit regular status updates on unpaid accounts and repayment progress to management.

Job Requirements

• Communication: Must be professional, cordial, and highly skilled at handling difficult conversations over the phone.
• Experience: Preference for candidates with a background in collections or high-volume customer service.
• Reliability: Ability to work a consistent 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule in a professional, tenured office environment.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable with high-volume emailing and basic data entry for tracking delinquent accounts.
