Product manager / strategy
Job Description
In this dynamic role as a Storage Product Customer Engineer/Solution Architect, you will be the primary technical expert responsible for guiding customers to success. You will work hand-in-hand with both new and existing clients to understand their business challenges, architecting and implementing sophisticated storage solutions that drive deep and successful product adoption. This position is highly cross-functional; you will act as a critical liaison, capturing real-world customer requirements and translating them into actionable insights for internal teams. By partnering closely with engineering, product management, and field organizations, you will directly influence feature definition and contribute to the overarching product strategy, ensuring our storage portfolio continues to meet the evolving needs of the market.
Responsibilities

Architect and deploy solutions for customer workloads (e.g., databases, applications, clustering) using OCI Block Storage, including performance tiers (Basic, Balanced, Higher Performance) and features like dynamic resizing and cloning.

Act as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) for OCI Block Storage, advising customers on best practices for performance tuning, cost optimization, data protection, and high availability.

Drive product adoption by identifying and migrating customer workloads from on-premises or competing clouds to OCI Block Storage.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer technical issues related to Block Storage performance, connectivity, and integration with other OCI services (Compute, Database, OKE).

Act as the "voice of the customer" to internal OCI engineering and product management teams, translating customer needs into detailed feature requests and product requirements.

Partner with field sales and solution architect teams to provide deep technical expertise during the pre-sales process, leading proof-of-concept (POC) engagements and technical workshops.

Develop and publish technical content, such as best practice guides, solution whitepapers, reference architectures, and code samples to enable customers and the broader field organization.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $82,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
