Pay Rate: $45–55/hr
Overview
A high-growth, VC-backed biotech company seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and help build scalable financial infrastructure. This is a high urgency hire with strong potential to convert to permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end close activities: GL, AP, payroll, and financial reporting
- Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and internal reports
- Manage AP processes, including PO matching and cash disbursements
- Support payroll processing and cost accounting (inventory, manufacturing)
- Maintain and improve internal controls (GAAP / SOX-aligned)
- Assist with audits, tax support, and board reporting
- Drive process improvements and system optimization (QuickBooks)
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong GL and close experience; must be hands-on
- QuickBooks required; Prendio a plus
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Life sciences or manufacturing experience a plus
