Location : We are seeking an On Call Bartender for the Greater Boston Area.

The On Call Bartender will be working at any of the following locations: Opera House, Orpheum Theater, Wang Theater, Shubert Theater and Boston Symphony Hall

Principle Function

As a bartender with Sodexo Live!, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding guest experiences by providing exceptional beverage service in alignment with the company's commitment to quality and hospitality. The bartender is responsible for expertly preparing and serving a diverse range of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, adhering to established recipes and exceeding customer expectations. This role requires a professional demeanor, keen attention to detail, and a dedication to creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all patrons.

The bartender also ensures seamless collaboration with the broader food service team, including kitchen and management staff, to maintain a smooth and cohesive operation. The position requires active management of the bar area, from maintaining cleanliness and organization to monitoring inventory levels and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations. This role demands adaptability, multitasking, and a focus on delivering high-quality service that aligns with Sodexo Live!'s reputation for excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages in compliance with Sodexo Live! standards, including recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and inventory levels of the bar area, conducting regular checks and coordinating with management to restock as necessary.
• Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions, offering drink recommendations, and resolving any concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender with a strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing superior guest service.
• Certification in alcohol safety (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS) or the ability to obtain certification before starting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Other Requirements :

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
