- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a valid Class A, B, C, or D driver's license for at least three years
- Pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check and a SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information) check
- Complete two hours of pre-service training
- Have a satisfactory driving record
- Pass a written knowledge exam, eye exam, and physical exam
- Meet medical standards, including being able to hear normal conversation sounds, and not having any physical or mental conditions that would interfere with safe driving
- Not have a “G” restriction on your driver's license
