Stop & Shop is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst II to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of the P&L and financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable way.
What we ask of you:
Analyze financial P&L data and trends to support business planning and decision-making.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
Develop financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and performance.
Collaborate with Stop & Shop Store Operations teams to gather data and align financial strategies.
Work with internal business partners to assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Collaborate with external E-Commerce partners (Uber, DoorDash, Instacart) to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Assist with accounting processes including accruals and invoices
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
2-4 years of Finance or related experience
Advanced Excel skills required; ie VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Formulas and Pivot Tables
Power BI Experience Preferred, Retail Experience a Plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and departments
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills

The starting salary for this position is $72,880 and will be commensurate based on background, experience as well as internal equity.
