What You’ll Do as a Division Manager

As a Division Manager at Lewis Services, you’ll lead a large division of a successful and well-regarded utility contractor. You'll join our leadership team and make an impact in our Industry . We provide the stability of a long-standing, employee-owned company with the progressive nature of a growing, improvement-minded future.

Empowering Leader: Involves your leadership in strategic planning and decision making, provide guidance during the execution phase of all projects, and creates a culture of accountability around standards and expectations.

Accountable: Assumes total accountability for your business unit, to include safety performance, financial performance, and all other strategic goals.

Sound Judgement : The ability to analyze complex situations and make data driven decisions , especially during times of high stress.

Business Acumen: Experienced business professional who understands the full scope of managing the complete operations of a large business unit .

What You Will Do:

• Be responsible and accountable for a large strategic business unit of Lewis
• C ollaborate with other Lewis departments to streamline processes and improve overall performance
• Develop your direct and indirect subordinates
• Smartly and strategically grow your business year-over-year.
• C onsult with the Human Resources department on employing, dismissing, disciplining , developing and promoting personnel.
• Develop , foster , and improve customer relationships , driving the Lewis customer experience
• Develop and foster relationships that ensure high employee morale.
• Improve and maintain the division al safety performance. Drive the safety culture of the division through leadership engagement, action, and accountability.
• Participate in trade associations and organizations involved in vegetation management Market appropriate vegetation management services to utilities in conjunction with the regional vice president.
• Maintain open lines of communication and a good working relationship with all members of the Operational Management Group.
  • Promote the reputation of Lewis Services as a Brand Ambassador to all internal and external personnel .
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to and indoor and has some exposure to an outdoor environment. The noise level in the work environment is most often moderate but sometimes loud.

What You Bring

• Minimum of five years ’ experience in utility vegetation management, at least two of which include positions as a Supervisor or Area Manager , or have related experience.
• Ha ve a degree in a business related field , Forestry , or , Arboriculture. Industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis.
• ISA Certified Arborist preferred not required .
• Demonstrate s strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to read , comprehend , and implement appropriate plans and actions to ensure compliance.
• Ability to coordinate, direct, supervise , and evaluate management personnel , including a team of up to , but not limited to , 500 employees
• A bility to thrive in a dynamic work enviro nment with an a ptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Ability to read and interpret necessary reports and financial statements , including but not limited to , profit and loss (P&L) statement s and job costing reports .
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing and able to work extended hours.
• Able and willing to travel by air or ground.
• Must have the ability to operate a personal computer and work with applicable computer software programs.
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Work with computers/technology

Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
