Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Offset Pressman with Komori experience to join our production team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of Komori presses, ensuring top-tier print quality across a variety of commercial and carton jobs.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and run Komori sheetfed offset presses (e.g., Lithrone series)
• Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specs
• Maintain accurate color density, gray balance, and registration throughout press runs
• Perform color matching using densitometers and/or spectrophotometers
• Adjust press settings for a variety of substrates, including paperboard and folding carton stock
• Monitor ink/water balance and press performance to optimize quality and speed
• Troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues to minimize downtime
• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in optimal condition
• Work closely with prepress and finishing departments to ensure workflow efficiency
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pressroom

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating Komori sheetfed presses (Lithrone preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Komori console systems and automation features
• Experience with color control systems (PDC or equivalent)
• Understanding of ink systems, coatings, and substrate behavior
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UV printing and UV/aqueous coating systems
• Familiarity with G7 color calibration and process control
• Folding carton experience including print-to-die registration awareness
• Knowledge of downstream processes such as die cutting and gluing
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
