As we continue expanding our architectural presence in the Boston region, we’re seeking an experienced Designer who is passionate about design excellence, innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
In this role, you’ll contribute your growing technical and design expertise to projects across civic, transportation, higher education, federal, life science, commercial sectors. You’ll take on increased responsibility in developing design concepts, leading portions of project documentation, coordinating with engineering partners, and supporting the delivery of projects from concept through construction. Your creativity, technical rigor, and collaborative approach will help bring transformative ideas to life.
What You’ll Do
- Develops design and technical solutions with guidance from senior staff
- Support design and documentation efforts across all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Prepare and develop architectural drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentation material using Revit and other design tools.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, interior designers, planners, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Contribute to design narratives, specifications, technical documentation, and client-facing materials.
- Contribute to research on building materials, systems, technologies, and codes to support project decisions.
- Participate in and help facilitate design charrettes, coordination meetings, and client presentations.
- Acquiring higher-level design and technical knowledge and advancing knowledge of software programs.
- Support construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site observations.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- 3+ years of post-graduate professional architectural experience in design and documentation.
- Progressing toward architectural licensure
- Proficiency in Revit for architectural modeling and coordination.
- Strong design skills with the ability to communicate ideas through sketches, diagrams, and digital tools.
- Working knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and codes.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks across multiple projects.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, or other visualization/modeling tools.
- Experience in one or more Cities & Places sectors (civic, health, transportation, higher education, federal, life science, commercial).
- Experience developing construction documents or coordinating with engineering disciplines on complex projects.
- Interest or experience in sustainable design, including LEED, WELL, or similar certifications.

79,900.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
109,800.00

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
The base salary range for this position is $79,900.00 to $109,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
