Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant support during surgical procedures under the surgeon’s direction, including exposure, hemostasis, tissue handling, and suturing as appropriate.
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with draping, positioning, instrument handling, and wound management during operations.
- Assist with patient positioning, setup of instrumentation, and intraoperative documentation; ensure timely availability of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to promote patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Monitor intraoperative events, adapt to changes in procedure, and uphold infection control and safety standards throughout cases.
- Accept assignments that may include float to the main OR within the facility and participate in on-call coverage as required.

Requirements
- MA state RN license in hand; conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum 3 years RNFA experience
- Certifications: CNOR, ACLS, BLS required
- Ability to work in an acute hospital OR setting and float to the main OR as needed
- COVID-19 vaccination with current booster (no exemptions)
