Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology
Description
This contract position offers an on-site working mode, allowing you to engage directly with patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional anesthetic care, tailored to each patient's needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing surgery
- Monitor patient's vital signs during procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to determine anesthetic plans
- Evaluate patients prior to anesthesia and assess potential risks
- Provide pain management and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Respond to emergencies and provide life support as necessary
- Educate patients and families on anesthetic procedures and safety
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current board certification in Anesthesiology
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Commitment to continuing education and training
Schedule: 10 or 12-hour weekday shifts
In-house call shifts required
Shifts available at multiple locations
Daily Volume: 12 cases
Diverse caseload based on location
1:3 or 1:4 supervision
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
