Med Surg / Telemetry (RN)

Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry – Travel Position Location: Springfield, MA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Pay: $2,278/week Job Description We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Springfield, MA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients requiring medical-surgical support and cardiac/telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and highly skilled in managing patients with diverse acute care needs. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry data, and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Massachusetts (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience in an acute care setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
