Senior CNC Programmer-Machinist, AS9100 Lead Track

Where: East Bridgewater, MA

Your Impact

• Own CNC setups and operation across turning, milling, or mill-turn platforms.
• Translate blueprints and engineering drawings into stable, repeatable processes.
• Execute in-process inspections with precision gages; record and communicate results.
• Deburr and finish components, maintaining part IDs, traceability, and lot segregation.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming material; escalate quality or FOD issues immediately.
• Complete travelers, inspection sheets, and production records in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Assist with packaging and shipment when needed; uphold a clean, safe workspace.

Lead Track (for qualified candidates)

• Coordinate daily workflow and schedule within the turning or milling department.
• Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, and programming challenges.
• Generate/optimize CNC programs and support first-piece inspections and process validation.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement for quality, efficiency, and throughput.

What You Need

• Professional CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Skill with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and related measuring tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Plus

• GD&T knowledge.
• Background in an AS9100 environment.
• Experience with Brown & Sharpe Micro-Val CMM and CMM Manager software.
• Prior setup, programming, troubleshooting, or leadership experience.

Education & Reporting

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Reports to the Turning or Milling Lead; Lead Machinists report to the General Manager.

Physical Demands & Environment

• Stand and move for extended periods; manual dexterity for machine operation and inspection.
• Lift and handle components and materials as part of daily work.
• Work in a clean, organized facility; use hearing protection in specified zones and eye protection for designated operations.

Workload

Overtime may be required occasionally to meet production schedules and business priorities.
