Prior Authorization Specialist
About the Job:
Caring Hearts Homecare is looking to hire a part-time Prior Authorization Specialist, someone who is self-driven, responsible, organized, and pays attention to details.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in Home Care Prior Authorization submission processes in Massachusetts.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- (LPN/RN) Nurse preferred
- Good computer skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the completion of Prior Authorization document requests.
- Review Prior Authorization documents for completion and accuracy.
- Submit Prior Authorization requests to appropriate insurance companies for approval.
- Track submitted PA requests.
- Audit to ensure PAs are in place for all patients.
- In charge of PA appeals and follow-up on any additional requests for documents needed for PA approval.
- Manage and maintain tracking PA tool.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
