Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, debug, script, and execute software in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop software applications and support full lifecycle software development.
• Develop and implement software using Python and other programming languages.
• Support modern flexible software architectures for adaptive processing, tracking, estimation, classification, communications, image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and human-machine interface capabilities.
• Develop and support parallel processing and multithreaded software.
• Apply thread safety and thread synchronization techniques.
• Support software modeling, simulation, testing, debugging, and validation.
• Integrate software with existing systems and support hardware and software integration.
• Support software documentation and maintain software functionality.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams while also working independently to accomplish assigned objectives

Skills:

• At least 5 years of software development experience; the group will consider more senior candidates for this role as well.
• 5+ years of software/algorithm development experience.
• Substantial experience developing in Python.
• 5+ years of Python experience.
• 5+ years of software design/development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with software documentation.
• Experience developing, debugging, scripting, and executing software in both Linux and Windows environments.
• 5+ years of Linux environment experience.
• 5+ years of Linux OS and scripting experience.
• 5+ years of Windows OS experience.
• Proficiency in parallel processing, multithreaded programming, thread safety, and thread synchronization.
• 5+ years of experience with hardware and software integration.
• 5+ years of experience with GIT/GITHUB.
• 5+ years of experience with Maven or Gradle, Git/GitLab, Make/Auto tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well on a team and individually.
• Ability to set priorities and manage assigned responsibilities

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree — Required.
