Mail Services Clerk
Job Title: Mail Services ClerkJob Description
As a Mail Services Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all mailroom operations within a building or campus. This role is integral to the Office Operations function, providing essential support to clients, business functions, or individual contributors.
Responsibilities

Audit delivered items against delivery invoices.

Approve or reject deliveries following inspections and check for contraband.

Ensure timely delivery of all packages received, notifying consignees of any next-day arrivals if necessary.

Deliver mail, packages, copy products, and stationery to designated groups or locations as per the daily schedule.

Ensure all shipped packages are protected against damage.

Process shipment requests with vendors and advise package owners of arrangements.

Apply appropriate postage and identification to outgoing mail and packages.

Stock copy rooms and provide initial communication for copier fleet production.

Check daily and replenish mail and postage supplies as needed.

Address common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors and effectively present information to internal groups.

Gather and analyze data to identify and resolve complex problems, potentially recommending new techniques.

Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.

Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to enhance team efficiency.
Essential Skills
-
High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the job function.

Ability to evaluate and communicate complex content concisely and logically.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Work Environment
The work environment involves managing mailroom operations within a building or campus setting. The role requires interaction with various teams and the use of office equipment, including copiers and computers. The position demands organization and efficiency in a dynamic office environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Westford, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
