Manager

Paint Rock Pool, a neighborhood pool in Lexington, MA, is seeking a Pool Manager for the 2026 summer season. This seasonal leadership role oversees daily operations of the pool, including lifeguard staff management, swim lessons, safety, and facility upkeep.
The Pool Manager reports to the Board of Directors and plays a central role in making the pool a safe, welcoming community space.

Key responsibilities include

• Hiring, scheduling, and supervising a team of lifeguards.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of pool users.
• Running a swim lesson program and supporting swim team activities.
• Coordinating with vendors for maintenance of the pool and facilities.
• Preparing the pool for inspections and permitting.
• Maintaining facilities and supplies, including pool chemicals and bathhouse needs.
• Managing pool operations within the established budget and reporting regularly to the Board.

Qualifications

• Experience in aquatics (lifeguarding, pool management, swim instruction, or related).
• Strong leadership and communication skills; at least two years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (American Red Cross).
• Must have or obtain Massachusetts Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (training available).
• Under Massachusetts General Laws, 105 CMR, § 435.17, Pool Supervisors must be at least 21 years of age.

Other details

• Seasonal full-time position during the pool operating season from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Limited and flexible part-time hours to hire life guards beginning in January.
