We are currently seeking an experienced CAD professional with prior machine shop/metal fabrication experience who can measure, model, and accurately generate highly detailed manufacturing drawings of precision machined parts utilizing SolidWorks as well as review drawings of other team members for accuracy and layout. The SolidWorks CAD Detailer/GD&T Specialist will work closely with and support the Director of Engineering.
Minimum Job Requirements:

• 15 or more years generating solid models and detail drawings with SolidWorks
• 2 years of machine shop experience or the functional equivalent desired
• A strong understanding of machinery components including gears and castings
• An ability to generate highly detailed drawings for manufacturing
• A strong knowledge of GD&T
• Knows how to clearly set-up drawings and detail views for manufacturing
• Proficiency with hand measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and various gauges
• Must be organized and possess a high level of detail and work structure
• A proven track record of success as it applies to the requirements of this position
• Willingness to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.

The successful candidate should also have:

• Experience in a technical field focusing on mechanical applications
• Knowledge of mechanical fit and function
• Knowledge of materials selection based on application is beneficial
• Strong understanding of manufacturing process
• Experience with metrology equipment a plus (CMM, digital height gauges, video inspection systems, etc.);

Hiring will be dependent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, in accordance with company policies and federal and state guidelines. The final candidates will be tested on their knowledge.
