About the Opportunity:

One of the largest and most highly-ranked schools for health- and life sciences is hiring a Financial Aid Specialist who will consistently deliver service for students, staff, and parents in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner.

Functions:

• Serve as primary liaison with the university's third-party party billing and payment plan partner.
• Work collaboratively with staff from the Student Accounts Office and University Business Office
• Create a communication schedule for contacting our students in a timely manner on pertinent topics
• Maintain and distribute reports for counselors to follow up on students with missing items and balance due.
• Outreach to students via telephone, email, and text message. Meet with students in person and virtually.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience filing, submitting, and working on Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  
• Proven experience in student personnel administration, preferably in financial aid or student accounts
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate well by telephone and email, in addition to face-to-face interactions
