Showroom Design Consultant
What You'll Do As a key member of our showroom team, your responsibilities will include:
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the go-to expert for clients, delivering thoughtful service and timely support from start to finish.
- Design & Consultation: Help clients bring their vision to life by creating custom room packages and recommending products tailored to their needs.
- Product Expertise: Stay up-to-date on TileBar's product lines, industry trends, and design solutions to ensure confident, informed recommendations.
- Sales & Order Management: Own the full sales cycle—including quoting, processing orders, and managing CRM records—while ensuring smooth fulfillment and delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to maintain brand standards, resolve order issues, and provide a seamless customer experience.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term client relationships that drive satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Brand Representation: Embody TileBar's commitment to excellence in every interaction, upholding our values, image, and customer-first culture.
- High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of sales or customer service experience, ideally in a retail, design, or luxury sales setting.
- Industry knowledge in tile, stone, furniture, textiles, or building materials is a strong plus.
Sales & Customer Focus
- Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets using a consultative, relationship-driven approach.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping clients navigate product and design decisions.
- Confidence in building rapport with a diverse clientele.
Product & Industry Knowledge
- Familiarity with tile and flooring products is ideal (but not required—we'll train the right candidate).
- A genuine interest in design, trends, and materials.
Technical & Operational Proficiency
- Comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, SalesPad, or Magento is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for quoting and order processing.
Team & Time Management
- Effective multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced showroom environment.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and some evenings or special events.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for product samples and showroom setup.
- Occasional travel for training, events, or new showroom openings.
